The Wingspread Series: Self Study courses providing 5-15 CEU hours each are based on books and publications vital to understanding addiction, treatment, counseling, recovery support services, compassion and mercy ministry issues. All materials are essential for your recovery support library. Clinical skills courses are based on textbooks by noted addiction experts including Dr. Robert Perkinson and public domain documents published by the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment.
Students complete a study guide designed to support personal learning with pre and post multiple choice tests faxed or mailed in for grading. Students may use Wingspread courses in Cluster Study Groups © with or without a facilitator and benefit from volume pricing.
Wingspread Series: On line! Many students prefer to develop their skills and pursue training over the Internet through on-line courses. NTI is proud to provide our Wingspread Series © through HOW TO MASTER, the state of the art web based technology created by Info Source, Inc.
HOW TO MASTER: NEW On Line courses will include Microsoft Modules on DIGITAL LITERACY and computer skills from beginning to advanced levels. An entire selection of “Soft Skills” such as making presentations, leading meetings, giving feedback and more will help you develop and refine your leadership abilities and interpersonal interactions.
The Freedom Series: This series addresses issues of faith and spirituality so key in today’s recovery world. To meet the demand for new training in FAITH-BASED addiction and recovery support services, Dr. Robert Perkinson, author of Chemical Dependency Counseling and Dr. Jean LaCour have developed The Freedom Series ©. Course content includes foundational skills and knowledge in addiction, treatment and recovery supportand meets professional standards outlined in SAMHSA’s TAP 21: Addiction Counseling Competencies: Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes.
